Joanne is a fourth year BMus student studying with Patricia Rozario OBE. Joanne has a degree in Microbiology and studied singing and the violin in Goa, before taking up full-time music studies at the Royal College of Music in London. Joanne has participated in Masterclasses with Jutta Vulpius, Sarah Walker, Graham Johnson, Yvonne Minton (Operaplus Summer School for Singers, Estoril, Portugal), Ian Partridge (Oxford Lieder Festival) and Jill Feldman (Academia de Musica Antiga, Lisbon, Portugal). Joanne is a Choral Scholar at St. Peter’s Hammersmith and has performed in concerts at various venues around London- National Gallery, St. Stephen’s church Gloucester Road, St. Mary Abbott’s, Woodhouse Copse (Surrey), St. Martin in the fields, Holywell Music Hall (Oxford), Tomar (Portugal), Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Goa. This December she was invited to do solo recitals in India with Japanese Pianist Kumi Matsuo. In 2009 she was invited to perform at the Monte Music Festival in Goa by Fundaçao Oriente and did a series of concerts with the Goa String Orchestra. Upcoming engagements include Britten Pears Aldeburgh with Matthias Goerne, First Lady in the Magic Flute for London Youth Opera.
